My artistic passion is to capture and embody the soul of women throughout the history of female existence. Through my work, I seek to listen to their voices, those of our ancestors, from Eve to the generations of women who will follow me.
I open my mind, consciously and unconsciously, to connect with these narratives. The life-size female figures on my canvases invite the viewer to stand before them not as a mere observer, but as a participant in a silent dialogue. The meaning of this encounter depends on how each person chooses to relate to the women I depict.
In my creative process, I use the female body as both subject and symbol. These forms are simplified, their contours amplified into sculptural manifestations of timeless femininity. Their skin is often rendered in subtle shades of turquoise and other hues, evoking both flesh and spirit. Emotions, already transfigured, are expressed in the elegance of their curves.
The gestures of my figures are inspired by experimental theater, dance, and movement. They embody an energy contained in silence. Fragmented elements, such as wheels, crutches, or spheres, intertwine as symbols of rupture, curiosity, and resilience.
My imagination and technique are nourished by the great masters of all eras, from the Renaissance to contemporary art. I am particularly inspired by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, photographer Howard Schatz, and painter Nicolas Party. Their work has allowed me to break the conventions of figurative art and rethink the creation of the soul from a unique perspective.
