Body and Matter – The Embrace of the Timeless is Claude Gauthier's first solo exhibition at Galerie Éclats 521. Through a series of powerful, sculptural photographs, the artist explores the tension between the human body and matter, between fragility and permanence. Inspired by ancient statuary, Caravaggio's chiaroscuro, and contemporary abstraction, Gauthier creates images where skin seems to merge with marble, where the human becomes a vestige, a landscape, a relic.
