Call for Artists — ÉCLATS 521
Émergence(s) 2025: Revealing Quebec's Contemporary Art Scene

At ÉCLATS 521, we believe that each work is a vibration, a fragment of meaning to be revealed. Continuing our mission to highlight current practices, we are launching Émergence(s) 2025, a call for projects to select the artist who will present a solo exhibition in our space in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles.

Open to contemporary artists from across the province, it is both rigorous and bold. It reflects our desire to forge deep connections between emerging practices, critical perspectives, and the public.

Vision
To bring out artistic practices that resonate with contemporary issues, whether aesthetic, political, environmental, or personal.

Format
The selection is based on a hybrid model. A jury composed of seven leading figures from Quebec's contemporary art scene (artists, curators, critics, and curators) will meet to select a winner. A public prize will also be awarded based on an online vote from the final selection. The winner will have a solo exhibition at ÉCLATS 521 in the winter of 2025.

Selection Criteria
The call for proposals is open to contemporary artists residing in Quebec. All visual arts are eligible.

Applications will be evaluated based on the quality and coherence of the artistic approach, the relevance of the proposal in the current context, and the artist's ability to design a site-specific project for the gallery space.

What we offer
The winner will have a solo exhibition in our Montreal space.

More than a showcase, ÉCLATS 521 offers a true space for research, experimentation, and outreach. We invite artists to take their place, to take risks, to shine.
