Opening 2001, the odyssey of Hélène Goulet

Galerie ÉCLATS 521 is pleased to present the opening of 2001, the Odyssey , a new exhibition by Montreal artist Hélène Goulet.

In this series, Goulet pursues a pictorial reflection where memory, temporality, and spatiality intersect. The odyssey she offers is not a linear narrative, but a succession of fragments, floating images that anchor themselves in the pictorial material only to better slip away. Each canvas acts as a passageway: a transitory place where figuration and abstraction coexist, where the eye is invited to lose itself, to drift.

Through color and texture, Goulet creates unstable surfaces, both landscapes and palimpsests, in which a fragmented memory is inscribed. This work summons the viewer's experience: they become co-navigators, projecting their own references and emotions into these pictorial territories.
