Annlo
Exhibition Blooming from January 15 to February 12, 2026
Opening Reception on January 15, 2026, RSVP
When Annlo approaches nature through abstraction, the intention is no longer to describe its forms, but to convey its inner resonance. These paintings activate perception differently. They invite the viewer to enter a field of sensations where rhythms, chromatic vibrations, and organic structures engage in direct dialogue with them.
ANNLO’s exhibition presents a selection of paintings in which nature becomes a sensitive and resolutely contemporary territory. Inspired by spontaneous flora and free-flowing vegetal landscapes, her works move away from simple representation to explore color, material, and rhythm as emotional languages. Between abstraction and botanical evocation, ANNLO’s painting unfolds in a vibrant and instinctive manner, inviting slow contemplation and an intimate reconnection with the living.
Biography
ANNLO is a painter from the Saguenay region. Her background is rooted in visual arts and media arts. Trained in Arts and Letters (cinema and communication), she continued her studies at Concordia University in Montreal in animation film and attended the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema.
During an international exchange in San Diego, California, painting gradually asserted itself. This marked a turning point in her practice, where the relationship to time, color, and gesture took precedence over animated narrative. At the end of her university studies, her work was recognized through the awarding of a prize and a scholarship for the excellence of her artistic approach.
Following her studies, ANNLO chose to deepen her pictorial practice within a context of direct transmission. She trained under her grandfather, Claude Grenier. This relationship, grounded in listening, observation, and the rigor of the gaze, nurtures a personal exploration in which heritage engages in dialogue with emancipation.
Today, ANNLO’s practice is structured around painting as a sensitive space, where color becomes a language in itself, carrying states, rhythms, and inner resonances.
ANNLO has presented solo exhibitions in several cities, notably Montreal, Saguenay, Los Angeles, Irvine, and Toronto, while maintaining a sustained presence through her gallery and studio spaces. Her work has also been shown in numerous group exhibitions and major art fairs, including Palm Beach, New York, San Francisco, Palm Springs, the Hamptons, and Laguna Beach, confirming the international reach of her practice.
Artistic Approach
Material and texture occupy a central place in her process. Each canvas is built through successive layers, where colors interact, overlap, and respond to one another, generating dense and living surfaces. This compositional work seeks less immediate seduction than the emergence of a perceptual space, inviting the eye to move through it and to linger.
ANNLO’s works explore notions of inner strength, balance, and well-being. Painting becomes a passage between emotional states and organic forms, where color acts as a vector of energy, breath, and inner resonance.
Through this practice, ANNLO conceives painting as a space of sensitive transmission, capable of generating a calming presence and a positive dynamic, both for the artist and for the viewer.
